Jackie Sauvé
The idea for Studio Sauvé was born in hospital.
After eight years of nursing, Jackie Sauvé felt the sterile environment of the operating room was fulfilling her less and less, while her weekend woodworking classes were fulfilling her more and more. Woodworking was a soothing and inspiring practice that gave Jackie an outlet for her lifelong passion for design and creativity.
In 2024, Jackie attended an intensive course at the Centre for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine and stepped back from nursing to pursue furniture craftsmanship full-time.
Studio Sauvé draws inspiration from several sources: the shapes and shadows of art deco, the bold designs of brutalist furniture, and the minimalism of Mid-Century modern. Using sustainable materials and showcasing beautiful grain, Studio Sauvé’s designs are playful, functional, and refined. Whether custom or made-to-order, each of Studio Sauvé’s piece is built to last.
